"Salman used to say whatever came in his mind" - Kareena Kapoor

Kareena Kapoor With a bagful of films in her kitty at the moment, Kareena Kapoor is all ready with her next film Kyon Ki... that releases today where she essays the role of a doctor for the first time. Let's see what the Diwali festival has in store for her.

What made you sign this movie?

It was an instant reaction. I play the role of a doctor and have never done anything like this before. Also I did Hulchul with Priyanji (Priyadarshan) which was a big success and that is why I wanted to work with him again.

How was it like working with Salman for the first time?

Working with Salman was a wonderful experience. I pairing up with Salman was very comfortable because we are like a family. I'm very friendly with his sisters and it was a very positive atmosphere.

And Priyanji?

Priyanji is one of todays most sought after directors because he has a very good track-record. He is always prepared and knows what he exactly wants and that makes him so special. Priyan brings out the best in me because people have really liked Hulchul and they are going to like Kyon Ki. I'm also doing Priyanji's next as well where I have a fantastic role.

How were Sunil and Mukesh as producers?

Sunil Mulchandani and Mukesh Talreja are very good producers. Whenever we tried to put anything across to them or made any suggestions, they have always been very supportive. We had a blast during the making.

Salman seems eccentric in the film.

He used to say whatever came into his mind and it was very tough to react but that's the way he is and I love him for that. Words fall short in explaining the kind of human being he is.

The music is doing quite well. Tell us about it.

The title track has already become a hit. It is fabulous and has a lot of depth in it. My favorite song in the film is Dil Keh Raha Hai which is picturized on Salman and Rimmi in Romania.

How was it like working with Priyadarshan's favorite Rimmi Sen?

We have shot together only for a couple of days. She is very lovely sweet and hard-working. And it was great working with an actress who is so sincere in her work.

Any memorable moments...

This movie will always be memorable because it is the first time I am working with Salman. There wasn't a single dull moment because he is so loving and jovial.

Lastly why do you think people should watch Kyon Ki..?

I think Kyon Ki is a fantastic film. Even if I wasn't in the film, I would say the same thing. I think this should work.
